What do people think of Yoga classes with Sue Lee? Below are some comments that may be worth a read...

Hi,
I am in Seattle where the local MS Society has been kind enough to purchase the VCR versions of Stretching, Twisting and Relaxing. I use them to teach a weekly class for those with MS; I have found them to be absolutely wonderful!
Thanks for creating them.

Heidi Fadle - North Cheshire Branch.
"After doing a yoga routine with Sue Lee I feel so much better - my stature and walking have improved enormously as well as my well-being. Sue makes me use muscles in my body that I have not used since getting MS 5 years ago. At the end of the yoga session is a period of total relaxation that only Sue can make me experience. Sue has a vast knowledge of MS and this is well demonstrated in her yoga classes"

When I was first diagnosed with this illness it didn't seem so bad until I could no longer perform my duties at work as the illness was getting the better of me. It started with numbness in my hands and legs, loss of sight, pains and so on. It made me feel so inadequate and angry and I felt so depressed. After talking to my doctor he arranged for me to go on a course called Getting to Grips With MS and that was when I got to meet up a yoga teacher - Sue Lee.
When I started yoga I found by controlling my breathing and doing stretching exercised it helped me relax my anxiety, tension and stress within my body. Yoga gives me great comfort, peace of mind and a good feeling inside of me. I feel so relaxed when I have had a session of yoga and I also enjoy talking to others with this condition when I go to yoga every Friday

"I do not have MS but these yoga classes helped me both before and after my major heart surgery"

Muriel - Stockport Branch
"I have been attending Sue Lee's classes for 15 years and I dont think I would still be as fit without them - I very rarely miss a class"

Lee - SE Cheshire Branch
"Sue has taught me to be aware of my posture and how to relieve tension whenever I experience it"

Eric - Chairman - Stoke on Trent Branch
"When we started Yoga some four years ago Sue would be constantly moving around the room putting legs, hips and shoulders into something like the correct positions. We have attended regularly with about 12 or 14 members each week and all those veterans are able to adopt the positions on their own. At first, I was careful about anticipating any benefit, but, under Sue's excellent tuition, and able to see for myself the improvements in mobility, I am convinced"

Trevor - Preston Branch
"Its better than Coronation Street on a Monday Night hahahaha - seriously, I have attended Sue's classes from the start and have learned a great deal about my body and how to get the best out of it"

Paul - SE Cheshire Branch
"Since starting doing yoga with Sue Lee I have less spasm in my legs at night"

Martyn - Vale Royal Branch
After living a fit, active and highly competetive life and having recovered from the initial shock of being told that I had multiple sclerosis yoga was recommended as a help with ongoing symptoms. My initial reaction was one of complete disbelief. Eighteen months on I cannot recommend yoga highly enough. The lessons teach you to relax as well as exercising parts that could never be reached in a gym. As these lessons are aimed directly at people with MS nothing you do is ever unachievable and you work at your own pace without competition. The advice and support you receive is amazing and I rely on it far more than from a doctor. Whilst the lessons are on a weekly basis I make sure that I practice daily which has proved of immeasurable benefit to me. The only thing I can add is .... put away your initial negative thoughts (no doubt the same ones I had) and try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. You will feel the benefits quickly both mentally and physically and in more ways than you could possibly comprehend.
